Poetry has changed me.
It has mistuned, misused
And disabused me.
It has brought me to despair
And to giving up.
But I can also say
Poetry has mistuned me.
It has entranced me.
It has brought me to joy.
I have more to give.
Poetry has changed me.
It has mistuned, misused
And disabused me.
It has brought me to despair
And to giving up.
But I can also say
Poetry has mistuned me.
It has entranced me.
It has brought me to joy.
I have more to give.
and just this winter morning i muse how i miss its conjuring, the levitation, the soar and dive, and the fine space it beckons and sustains.
once a poet, forever a poet, even in our silences, for we have been kissed by its fatal beauty. xx

Hi, lovely to hear from you. I’m happy my little poem brought up these reveries in you, which I enjoyed reading. Best wishes, Sal.
